World Children’s Soccer League — Official Press Kit
No More War. Let the Children Play.
About the World Children’s Soccer League
The World Children’s Soccer League (WCSL) is a global humanitarian movement that gives every child — especially those affected by war, poverty, and instability — a safe place to play, belong, and represent their country. The league operates across four regions, uniting nations through childhood and the universal language of soccer.
About the Game
The WCSL is built on a simple idea: give children the game instead of war. The league provides a safe, structured, and joyful environment where children ages 5–14 can represent their country with pride. Each nation fields five teams (U6, U8, U10, U12, U14), playing 6 regular season games, 1 regional festival game, and 2 global showcase games for qualifying teams.
- Safe and age‑appropriate
- Non‑aggressive
- Focused on unity and teamwork
- Designed for global inclusion
Why the Game Exists
The WCSL was created to restore childhood where it has been stolen by war, poverty, and instability. Children in conflict zones have no safe place to play. Many countries cannot travel due to borders or political restrictions. The WCSL is the first humanitarian league designed to include every child — even those in war zones, refugee camps, or restricted countries.
Funding Goal
The WCSL requires $12.5 million USD for its first global rollout, supporting 40 countries, 200 national teams, and more than 6,000 children. This funding covers uniforms, equipment, national festivals, regional festivals, the global festival, safety systems, and Level 3 participation for restricted countries.
- $6,000,000 — Country Operations
- $1,200,000 — Regional Festivals
- $2,000,000 — Global Festival
- $1,300,000 — Safety & Training
- $2,000,000 — Equipment Manufacturing
Why This Funding Matters
This funding protects children, builds safe play zones, provides uniforms and shoes, trains coordinators, and ensures no child is excluded. Every dollar helps restore childhood and build peace through play.
